Live, Love and Learn my new motto.

Once upon a time, I wanted to...travel the world, meet new people, experience life first hand. So, with help from my parents and the freedom to experiment I did. Along the way I met some very good friends..One of the last places I thought to go was Sweden. I'm so glad I did! It was an eye opening experience-the people were so nice. The cold was unimaginable at first but then it was normal, -15C was a breeze(as long as you layered!!). You learn a lot about yourself living alone in a far away country..mostly that you never stop growing-the best part for me was the friendships. Besides that I found a love of research and history-though the black sheep of the group with nary a thought of Vikings or "ramparts" (shane!) I had good tutors, in all areas. Still managed to incorporate some gender studies and sexuality! Thanks to Helio and myself, we managed to find some interesting sexual habits! I even wrote a thesis on the role of sex and sexual roles of women in Medieval Scandinavia as portrayed in the laws. This was managed with great help from Alex, our professor. (who I owe a huge amount of thanks for her editing) An archeologist/historian she's now in the process of discovering a new find- Egil, her son. Best of luck! Looking back, it passed in a blur of days spent researching, chats over coffee and apple cake at Ofvandahls, traveling to the Artic Circle-(dog sledding!), Berlin(architecture), Gotland(medieval castles), Oslo(sculptures..oh yes and the Oseberg ship burials (I would be the only one to forget that, yes I know..After we finished I made one more trip, to France but..thats another story.
